Nile Common Travel

• Nile Travel is a travel agent or tour operator?
  Nile Travel is a tour operator. This means that all tours are organized by Nile Travel itself. Agencies sell the tours of Nile Travel.
• Is Nile Travel a member of guarantee funds?
  Yes, that is Nile Travel a member of the General Secretariat of the Council, ANVR the calamity fund and IATA license.

Common Egypt

• Can I drink water from the tap in Egypt?

  In Egypt you can not drink water from the tap.
  Also we always recommend brushing teeth with mineral water.
• What about money in Egypt?
  In Egypt, the Egyptian pound used. You can arrive at the airport in Egypt immediately to all euro's exchange pounds. In most places you can often simply accept euro payments. It is also possible to close on pins with a Dutch bank card.
• Do I have a visa?

  With Dutch nationality, you need a visa in Egypt. This does not leave to be applied. If you do not own the time or very busy you can book with Nile Travel you will pay € 24, - for the visa. . Before departure you will receive your other travel documents and a voucher for the visa.

• How long is the flight to Egypt?
  To Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Marsa Alam fly in 5 hours. To Cairo is 4.5 hours.
• Which vaccinations are required for travel to Egypt?
  To travel to Egypt are not required vaccinations.
  It is recommended DTP and hepatitis A.
• Are the prices for the new season already known?
  Prices for the new season will be announced in mid June.

• Heeft mijn kind een eigen paspoort nodig om naar Egypte te reizen?

  Dit is afhankelijk van de leeftijd van uw kind. Indien hij/zij nog geen 16 jaar oud is (geldt voor hele reisduur), mag uw kind nog bij u in het paspoort staan. Vanaf 16 jaar moet iedereen over een eigen paspoort beschikken.

Flights

• Can I check online if I fly with SWISS?
  If you fly with SWISS can check in online from 23 to 1 hour before departure on SWISS.com.
  Online check-in can both in Amsterdam and from Cairo.
  It is not possible to check in online if you are traveling with children younger than 2 years and / or groups over 9 people.
• Which airlines I will be fly?
  The airports Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor and Marsa Alam can fly with the charter airline Transavia. No food served on board. But you can eat and drink on board a purchase.
  Tours starting in Cairo are performed with SWISS. To make this flight with a stop in Zurich.
  
  Destination without international airport, the following applies:
  
  To fly to El Gouna Hurghada.
  For Port Ghalib and fly to El Quseir Marsa Alam.
  Dahab to fly to Sharm El Sheikh.
• How long in advance should I present at the airport?

• Can I check online if I fly with Transavia?
  Yes. from 23 hours to 1 hours before departure you can check on

  From Egypt check is unfortunately not yet possible.
  For groups with more than 9 people is not possible to check in online.
• How long should the passport still valid when I return?
  Your passport should have at least 6 months to return to be valid.
• What are the baggage rules of Transavia?
  On Transavia.com you can watch all arrangements for the luggage.
• Is there food on board on the flight?
  SWISS flights of food and drinks are served.
  If you fly with Transavia meals and drinks are not served by default. However, there is the possibility of snacks, sandwiches, soup and drinks on board to buy.

Tours

• Is always a trip?
  Yes, all tours at Nile Travel start regardless of the number of people ever.
• How are the groups to travel big?
  In our groups are usually small. If you are a very busy travel period, you can expect up to 30 persons per group.
• Which language speaking tour guide?
  The tour guide speaks clear English in general. On board the M / S Monte Carlo Alexia there are 3 Dutch guides.
• What is the difference between a superior and junior suite in M / S Monte Carlo Alexia ?
  The junior suite is a simple room with seating for 2 people. The superior suite is much wider than the junior suite and has an extra large seating area.
• How is the food on board on the cruise ships served ?
  All meals are buffet style. Are you vegetarian or are you a different diet, then you can spot to give the chef cook. All meals are prepared with purified water.
• What is the cost of drinks on board on the cruise ships?
  For about € 2, - you can ordered drinks on board on the cruise ships.
• How did the rooms looks like on board on the M / S Alexia Monte Carlo ?
  All rooms are equipped with a full bathroom, a 2-person or two 1-beds and a sitting area. All rooms have a large viewing window. There are no rooms below water level.
• Is there an elevator aboard on the cruise ships?
  No elevator at the cruise ship .
• Are the wheelchairs friendly on the cruise?
  The cruise ships do not have a lift. Aboard the ship . there are spaces including the restaurant and the deck that can be reached only by stairs.
  The staff on board is always there for people in wheelchairs and assist them where necessary. For decades people have been organized tours through Nile Travel wheelchair.
• Should I bring my own towels?
  No. All hotels and cruise ships have towel service , in the rooms at the pools and beachs .
• Did someone will picked up us at the airport in Egypt ?
  Yes. On arrival in Egypt there is a courier for the customs waiting for you. The tour leader is to recognize the sign "Nile Travel" that he / she will clearly show. The tour leader takes care of your visa and take you to the destination.
• I want book the trip, but the trip is on request. What does this mean?
  On request we do not mean that all elements of your chosen travel immediately available. If you try to book a trip application, we have to book as this part. If this succeeds, the final journey. This means that you no longer can cancel free of charge. Should not we all agree can get parts, we offer you an alternative. If you do not agree with the alternative, the entry removed.
• Is it possible to travel by private guide and driver ?

Travel documents

• I am a married woman. What name should I enter?

• How much the additional costs of a diving course?
  To pay for the certificate placed around € 35, -. In addition, you € 35, - payable for the material.
  All diving equipment is included in courses.
• What language is the teaching materials in the diving courses?
  All dive schools have Dutch lessons and video material.
• I do not own diving equipment. Can I rent this spot?
  Yes. If you have booked a dive package, you can dive in a full dive equipment hire for approx € 25, - per day. If a course is all the material included.
• I have my own underwater cameras. there are special rules for diving?
  No. Transavia has unfortunately no special rules for divers. If you exceed the maximum weight of 20KG you pay € 9, - per kilo each way. You should however always check themselves through transavia.com.
